Hannah’s Swim 7 Miles in August Challenge

Next month, I will be attempting the Pancreatic Cancer UK Swim 7 Miles in August Challenge. That is 451 lengths in a 25m pool! Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival of all common cancers, with a five-year survival rate of less than 7%. I will be swimming for my Step Dad Tony who we lost to this awful disease in April, just 7 weeks after he was diagnosed. When I was younger, I swam for Gloucester City Swimming Club and Tony spent many evenings ferrying me back and forth to training, and weekends cheering me on at the Galas. He also trained as an official timekeeper. He gave up a lot of his own time so I could do something I loved. It therefore feels like a fitting tribute to complete this challenge for him. Please sponsor me to raise money for PCUK and help continue the fight against pancreatic cancer. Thank you for your support. Hannah x
