Thomas John Carsley

If tears could build a stairway, and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
John was a down to earth man, tough as a doornail. Never moaned about anything. But in October 2021 he knew something was wrong, he had the flu jab and for weeks he had severe pain in his left arm. Thinking nothing of it, he brushed it away till family members during Christmas time convinced him to have an x-ray, there they discovered a tumour growing between the shoulder blade and pressing down on the nerve. Finally, John had an answer to his pain. Then came, January. John fell, repeatedly that month, so went for another scan which found out that he also had tumours on his pelvis and pancreas. Couple of weeks later John was told that the primary cancer was coming from the pancreas. And that he has pancreatic cancer, late stage. On April 26th at 12pm John passed away at his home, surrounded by all his loved ones. John left this world the way he wanted, on his own terms. And will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
