Suzy Hesketh

Suzy was a warm, caring and selfless larger-than-life character. Taken from us all far too soon, we will miss you dearly.
In loving memory of Suzy Hesketh.
Discovering Suzy had stage 4 pancreatic cancer in May 2021, we knew she was about to embark on the biggest fight of her life.
She began treatment full of hope and positivity, despite numerous complications along the way, showing us just how determined and resilient she was throughout.
Suzy sadly passed in September 2021, just aged 44 and only 4 months after diagnosis.
Pancreatic Cancer is very aggressive and by the time symptoms present themselves it is usually too late. Identifying this dreadful disease early is vital. We want to raise awareness of pancreatic cancer to prevent other families facing the same devastating situation.
Research into pancreatic cancer is very underfunded, only receiving 3% of the UK cancer research budget. It is one of the worst cancers with the lowest survival rate.
She was one in a million and touched so many lives. Life will never be the same without her.
In her own words “if this helps someone to put the brakes on their busy life and realise their fatigue could be linked to early stage cancer, then it has been worth it”.
