Roger was the rock for his family and is missed every day

When Roger was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer in December 2021, he agreed to move forward without treatment following medical advice. By doing this Roger hoped he could enjoy time with his family and maintain a certain quality of life until the end. Unfortunately, the cancer spread quicker than expected and caused respiratory complications that ended his life abruptly and unkindly.

He died at home on 6th August 2022, 8 months after his diagnosis - leaving behind his loving wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Pancreatic cancer is one of the worst cancers and devastates lives. Roger was upset when he realised how underfunded and under publicised this disease is that takes so many lives every year. As such, we are inviting people to donate to this worthy cause in memory of my Father. Donations to this charity help ensure that this disease is diagnosed sooner. This enables a better chance for treatment, whilst ensuring good honest men like my father do not suffer the same fate.

Roger was thoughtful, kind and loved to act the clown around his family, keeping everyone smiling and laughing – right to the end. He was proud of his family, loyal, and put everyone else first with no consideration for himself. A true gentleman.
