Paul Hussey
Paul was a beloved husband, Dad and friend to many, he will be dearly missed
My Dad had many interests in life, but the three things that brought him the most joy were attending a Bruce Springsteen concert, skiing in the French Alps, and spending a day with his friends from Cardiff University at either Lord’s or Twickenham. Some people would remember his cooking, be it either a Sunday roast dinner, a simple spag bol or his tarte au citron which were always accompanied by a gin and tonic and a slice of lime. He was also extremely hard working, spending most of his years at Bunzl and had a knack for noticing the little things that others might miss.
Sadly, Paul was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer in 2020 and fought with such determination, refusing to let the cancer define him, in the very stubborn Hussey way. Pancreatic cancer has one of the lowest survival rates, with only 1% of patients making it past three years, Paul made it to almost five. This could not have been achieved without the innovative treatments he had.
We would be incredibly grateful for any donations you could make. Every contribution, no matter how small, plays a significant role in the fight against cancer. These funds could support research on early detection and improved treatments, as well as provide health professionals with the necessary tools to identify patients’ symptoms more effectively, so that more lives can be saved in the future.
