The best mum, wife and grandma anyone could wish for. We miss her every single day.

We lost mum to pancreatic cancer in 2007, a few short weeks after she was diagnosed.

She was 68. The best mum, wife and grandma anyone could wish for. She left a huge hole in all our lives and we miss her every single day.

Mum had endless patience and time for people, particularly for her beloved grandsons. She was kind, she was generous, she had grace.

She was so loved by everyone who knew her and we’re all striving to be just a little bit like her.

Mum was an incredible cook. She made the best ever Bakewell tart, mince pies and anything she laid her hand to. We now hold family bake-offs, which she'd have loved and we wish she was here to judge them.

Pancreatic cancer devastatingly took her when she had so much of her life left to live. The disease is tough to diagnose, tough to treat, tough to research and tough to survive. And it has been left behind.

Survival rates have improved enormously for most cancers but not for pancreatic cancer. Too few people survive. But that doesn’t mean we don't have hope.

We began supporting Pancreatic Cancer UK in mum’s memory because we desperately wanted to help others not to suffer a loss like ours. Every single member of the family has contributed - from cycling, running marathons, baking cakes, making chilli pickle, cleaning golf clubs to washing cars.

Together, with Pancreatic Cancer UK, we know we can help to transform the future for people affected by pancreatic cancer and we won't stop until we do.

For Mum.

We hope she would be proud. X
