On June 22nd 2022, aged 59 our Mum sadly lost her battle against Pancreatic Cancer. Mum had lost the battle before the fight had even begun. Pancreatic cancer is so aggressive that many people's prognosis is very poor. It only took 5weeks from diagnosis to death, that in itself shows how savage this kind of cancer is. It's sly, hard to detect, shows no signs or symptoms and by the time the symptoms do appear it's usually too late. Pancreatic cancer is one of the worst cancers and has one of the worst survival rates yet there is not enough awareness being promoted. All cancers are terrible but some of them are promoted more than others. Tickled pink etc is a household name yet not many know about Pancreatic cancer UK. This is why I have created this memory page, to make people more aware of this evil disease& to help raise money for this cause. Mum was an amazing person, full of love & laughter. Even in the last weeks of her life we were laughing and joking. She was kind, caring and a friend to everyone. She will be sadly missed by all but I will make it my mission to raise awareness of this disease, in my mum's name!x
