Glen Dorans

Glen passed away on 5th April 2024 just 5 weeks after being diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer that had spread to other areas. At just 55 and being so fit and healthy it came as such a shock. A hard worker who had created a successful gardening business .He was so loved by his family and friends. His wife and four children miss him so much. He was kind,gentle and loved his life. He leaves a big hole in many lives. Glen did not have any symptoms until around a week before he was diagnosed. Sadly it is common for Pancreatic cancer to not show symptoms until after it has already spread and is too advanced . It is often very aggressive and more funding needs to go towards screening, diagnosis and quick treatment . The statistics surrounding pancreatic cancer are shocking. Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival of all common cancers, with five-year survival of less than 7%.We as a family hope the donations will help improve outcomes and stop other families from going through this.
