The best Husband, Dad, Son, Sibling and Friend you could wish for. We were lucky to have had him in our lives.

Derek was an all-round amazing guy who was loved by those he knew. He was known for cracking a joke and was always up for a laugh. He had a full life filled with great memories that we will always remember.

Derek passed away 50 days after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Unfortunately, it is not uncommon for those diagnosed to have a short time left and this needs to change. Pancreatic cancer is one of the hardest cancers to diagnose, treat and survive. Despite this, there is minimal funding which is why we created this page in Derek's memory. We want to do what we can so people won't have to suffer a loss as we have.

Although he was taken too soon, our memories of him as the funny, genuine and amazing person he was will live on.
