My beautiful mum taken far too soon. She lost her battle to this awful disease 7 weeks from diagnosis. She passed away in her home surrounded by her family. Mum hid her pain the best she could and never wanted myself or my brother to worry, even until the end she was fighting- the strongest bravest lady. She was the most loveable, straight talking, loyal person. She had so much love to give and was not only the most incredible mum but my best friend. Obsessed with leopard print clothes and drinking gin in her garden, that she spent so much time perfecting. She was a teacher at a primary school and spent her life giving everything she could to her students. A best friend, a mother and gave the tightest hugs you felt safe knowing you had her in your life. My mum has left behind myself and my brother and she will forever be missed. She has taught me so much but mostly that life is too short and too cruel to be anything but yourself.
