Update April 18th 2023.... Cannot believe I have completed my training for The London Marathon WOW! Sunday will be just for you Barry, seems quite fitting as we are on the weekend of your 3rd anniversary. I'm sure you must be very proud of all your grandsons have achieved in the last 3 yrs, and the excitement on their faces for the marathon on Sunday! Watch over them in the crowds on the streets of London whilst I run this Marathon in your honour to thank you for been such a brilliant grandad!

Massive thank you to everyone for all your support on this crazy journey, that was meant to be one Marathon and due to covid has taken 3 yrs and turned into 2 Marathons I hope the money you donate makes a difference to many 💜💜

Barry is my father in law, he had pancreatic cancer and had treatment of surgery and chemotherapy, unfortunately he died of this awful disease in April 2020. He was a kind and thoughtful man who loved grandad duty and lived for his 4 grandsons. Whilst Barry was watching The London Marathon from his hospital bed in his living room he told me he would have loved to have ran it. Crazily I applied for the marathon to run it for him and was given a place. Due to covid our London marathon was virtual but we was promised a place in London also. So here we are Barrys "real" London marathon. My boys have been so lucky to have had the most amazing grandad 💙 the day he died a Robin landed by our door and since then they have known that grandad is now that robin watching them. He is always in their thoughts, often them wishing he could be doing something with them, often missing all his chocolate bars or his maths puzzles he would email them. Pancreatic cancer is still diagnosed late and goes unrecognised, it has one of the highest death rates. We need donations to provide research, Pancreatic cancer can be hereditary and by raising money I am protecting my husband and sons and many others out there diagnosed with this awful disease.Together we can honour Barry by transforming the future for those affected by pancreatic cancer. Please donate what you can every pound counts.
