Carolyn (Caz) lost her monumental battle against pancreatic cancer on 18th June 2023. She was first diagnosed in 2016 and underwent a clinical chemotherapy trial prior to major surgery where she had the Whipple procedure. More chemo followed, which she took in her stride and did not complain. She was cancer free for a short time, before it unfortunately returned in 2019, this time it was inoperable. She bravely faced more chemo and continued with this until the week she died.

This incredible, inspirational lady was like a mum to me, a loved partner to Mark, step mum to Jake, daughter to David and great friend to countless others. She did not want a funeral, not wanting people to cry for her. She was a force of nature, a bright light amongst the darkness and an endless ball of fun! A few people asked about flowers or donations, so we thought it would fitting to create a tribute page in her memory where people could leave messages or donate to the amazing work of Pancreatic Cancer UK if they wish to.

Research into pancreatic cancer is severely under funded, and this has led to survival rates being amongst the lowest of all cancers and figures have not improved over the last 40 years.

Lets help stop more family and friends lose people like Caz to this vile disease!
