A larger than life gentle giant.

Husband, Dad and Grandad

Bob was unwell for a little while, losing weight, struggling to eat and in some pain. A random blood sugar test from one of his daughters showed his levels were high. From there the doctors appointments, scans and endoscopies showed he had pancreatic cancer which had metastasised to his lungs.

Rounds of chemotherapy began in November 2022, then palliative chemotherapy in February 2023 which sadly caused the early stages of heart failure in July 2023, Bob,fought 17 long hard months after being diagnosed.

You can not fault the fight he had. Weve never known someone with true grit and determination want to live as much as he did. He had goals and dates to achieve.

Sadly, our amazing dad, husband and grandad passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family, in his favourite chair in January this year.

This wasn’t possible without our amazing mum providing 24/7 care for my dad so he didn’t have to go into the hospice.

Forever grateful for the time we had but it was never enough.

There are not enough words to describe just how incredible Bob was.
