On Sunday 13th of August our beautiful Mumma Bear lost her fierce battle with Pancreatic Cancer.

We caught the cancer early enough for it to be classed as stage 1, which is so unbelievably lucky for pancreatic cancer. Mum then underwent the Whipple Surgery, we then found the cancer had spread to the lymph nodes so chemo was now on the cards. The chemo was absolutely awful and made our mum so ill, but she battled through it and completed the course of treatment as she was determined not to go anywhere.

In February 2023 we got the all clear that mum's cancer had gone she was "Cancer Free"! We were elated, however, this was short lived.

Three days after mums 60th birthday our worst fears were confirmed, the cancer was back with no possibility of treatment and that given the rate it has grown that mum only had 1 month left to live. Even with this diagnosis mum was still adamant that she was going to fight this thing. She kept reassuring us that she wasn't going anywhere.

After a few weeks in hospital and in a hospice, mum wanted to go home, asking me several times to help her escape out the window! She then however got sepsis and to much to our surprise she got better. She was adamant that she wanted to go and be home for when she passed away. Mum's wish came true. Mum came home on the Monday evening where she spent her final week surrounded by all her family members and bestie. We (Emily & Izzy) were by her side holding her hand when she took her final breath.

Our Mumma Bear was truly a warrior and we are so deeply lost loosing our mum.
