Ben is many things; loving, clever, funny & kind. His passion for Man City FC was well known by all who knew him.An inspirational man.

Ben was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer in July 2022. A fit man who loved his running both socially with friends and in events. Completing marathons in sub four hour times.

He enjoyed his music, writing songs hoping for his dream to come true of one making it as a hit record.

Ben wrote a song for a charity for a friend, recording it only 48 hours before his own diagnosis.

Ben worked alongside his business partner to run a very successful business, a role he thrived at and loved.

Ben was a loving husband, a caring Dad to his daughter & step daughters; treating them as his own. He adored his grandson enjoying spending quality time with him whenever possible and had great relationships with his two son-in-laws. He had many friends, everyone who met Ben loved him.

Ben is the person this should not have happened too, always happy, joking, supporting, ready to listen and help whenever he could, this terrible disease has robbed those who knew him and the world of a very talented, bright, funny caring person.

We do not want Ben to have died in vain, watching the suffering he endured we would not wish on anyone. Something needs to change with regard to pancreatic cancer; more research into slowing down its progression, a screening test is vital for early detection.

We need to help Pancreatic cancer UK do this. Pancreatic cancer is one of the most aggressive cancers, its symptoms silent often mistaken for milder ailments.

Ben was young (57 when diagnosed) he had his 59th birthday one week before he passed, he was fit, he led a healthy lifestyle, never smoked, drank socially, he ate healthily. Stop thinking this won’t happen to you or anyone you know, because it can and it does!

Help me and Ben, who it is too late for, help others.
