Andy Wright

Andy Wright was of the kindest, funniest people that I have had the pleasure of knowing.

He dedicated his working life to bringing live music to others.

He spent many years running the famous "Charlotte" music venue in the centre of Leicester, giving early gigs to as yet unknown bands, several of which have become household names filling major venues and headlining festivals.

I got to know any through promoting gigs at the venue, and through this we formed a strong friendship, and for several years I ran my business from the top floor offices at The Charlotte.

Andy was very generous, and great company. A great many people who attended gigs at his venue will think of him as a friend.

Pancreatic cancer took Andy's life in 2022, and he left us in style with a rock 'n' roll funeral.

I am running a the Edinburgh Marathon in May 2023 in Andy's memory and raising money through this page towards helping to beat Pancreatic Cancer.
